This is where you get to see the Curator's favourite
exhibit. The 1920 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost armoured car; isn't she a beauty? You can
read about her on the Collection page.
Now swing around to the right and look at the famous Medium Mark II tank of 1925.
Alongside that is the strange wheel-cum-track machine (see Collection) and in the
far corner a Crossley armoured car from the North West Frontier of India.
There is also a display here concerning Lawrence of Arabia who died at Bovington in
1935. We exhibit a Brough Superior motorcycle similar to his machine.
There is a lot to see in this hall; as we move around notice the tiny Carden-Loyd
Carrier, the Vickers-Armstrong display, the huge Independent tank, an amphibious
light tank and the big Lanchester armoured car.
From here we can start exploring the BRITAIN AT BAY hall.
