Here we are surrounded by tanks. Start with the rear of our Mark V (and see the Collection page for more on this exhibit), Next to the left the Mark IX designed to carry 30 infantry but never actually used during the war. Beyond, in the far corner is the Mark V** which you can walk through when you visit the Museum and alongside that a German 77mm field gun captured during the battle of Cambrai.

The tank by the window is the Medium A, or Whippet. The very tank in which Lieutenant Cecil Sewell gained a posthumous Victoria Cross in 1918. The little grey tank is an early version of the famous French Renault FT-17.

Now we go through into the INTER-WAR hall.
