| Museum spokesman Nik Wyness said; “We were really impressed by the quality of the entries and the level of detail that some of these drawings demonstrated. I was also impressed that there we as many entries from girls as from boys which certainly steps on the idea that The Tank Museum is something for the boys!"
The youngsters, aged between 7 and 11, were each presented with a mini panel featuring their work, and a family pass to The Museum as part of their prize. The hoardings were funded by contributions from The Tank Museums main contractor Norwest Holst and Arts and Business and will remain at the Museum’s temporary entrance until the museums’ £16m redevelopment project is completed later this year. Following this they will go on permanent display in the purpose built education suite that is also currently under construction.
